Hamilton's History
Hi All,
So for my first entry I am going to go back in time, WAY back! I had a meeting last week with the director for Hamilton Cemeteries, at the old Gatehouse on York Blvd (777 York). First off the cemetery itself is an fascinating monument to Hamilton history. I had the good fortune of entering through the wrong driveway, so I had quite the scenic tour through the entire grounds. When I arrived to the main office it was beautiful! The old gatehouse was built back around 1855 and was both the chapel and the groundskeepers home. I love history (i know nerd alert- but I DO!) So I was in awe at the beautiful architecture of the building. The main entrance is the original chapel so I was greeted by high arched ceilings and original stained glass windows. After our meeting the director offered me a tour and this truly made my day. She took me to the records room were all the records have been kept since the cemetery began so long ago. Drawers upon drawers lined the walls with the record of every soul laid to rest on those hills. I could not believe my eyes when she pulled down a very aged, dusty book and opened it to a page, marked in perfect cursive, dated 1873. The records revealed both name and cause of death, neatly marked in the antique script. Causes of death? well let's just say thank goodness its 2009! Kicked in the Head by a Horse, Whooping Cough, Typhoid fever... nice to know that those likely won't be my end. Amazing though that to this day records are kept by hand. Even though I strongly believe in technology for some reason I think I prefer it that way, more authentic somehow. LONG story short, Hamilton Cemeteries have tours of these facilities and other ancient area cemeteries, there are 69 in total since the amalgamation. I highly recommend to anyone who loves history to take this tour, I plan on taking it myself this summer.
So that is my first entry, hopefully no one has been bored to tears.
Have a great long weekend, I'll be renovating my house for the duration. At 80 years old I think I have my own piece of Hamilton's history.

FPM3 wins Agency of Record for Regina, Saskatchewan Construction Company!
I was very excited today to win the development of a website design, SEO and Google Ad word campaign today.

I was contacted about 2 weeks ago from a potential client that was interested in our services. They found us on Google, and we discussed how we can help them develop their website and build their profile online.

It was decided today that we won the contract. I love this guys philosophy in how to do renovation work. You buy the materials, and he just quotes the labour. No mark up on materials, just pay for the time. The savings are huge and the results are fabulous.

If you need renovations done in the Regina, Saskatchewan. Make sure you call the Renovations Experts! ZarKor Construction.

Ok...I'm telling bad jokes I'm done. Sorry about that.

Check out the website in 2 weeks!
