Last week was a massive attack on servers through the Internet of Things. Adam Oldfield talked on 900 CHML Tech Talk about a lot of cool technology however we haven’t talked about the security that goes with it. This is a video that was done with a drone and hacks Philips light bulbs inside a building from outside drone. It is only a sample to explain how the power of security is critical when it comes to this new technology. LED lights come with the ability to be controlled with your smartphone. However, it costs extra to get the security installed. A new regulatory body is in the works for the United States to put security regulations for anything that has an internet-connected device to it. Here is a video showing how it works!
